JOPTIMIZ: the platform facilitating traffic during the Olympic and Paralympic Games

Publié le 30 mai 2024 - Mise à jour le 18 juillet 2024 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

In anticipation of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (JOP) in Paris 2024 and the expected traffic restrictions, the JOPTIMIZ platform is set up to facilitate the movement of professionals. It is led by the City of Paris, the Paris Police Prefecture and the Ministry of Ecological Transition, among others.

What are the security perimeters for JOPs?

In order to protect the competition sites and ensure the smooth running of the competitions, several security perimeters will be set up by the police prefecture:

  • blue perimeter : regulated motorized traffic (free proof);
  • red perimeter : Prohibition of motorized road traffic, except for specific derogations;
  • black perimeter (or SILT Security and the fight against terrorism): limited access to local residents (occasionally concerned), vehicles and persons accredited by the organization or in possession of tickets to attend the events;
  • gray perimeter : Limited access to vehicles and persons accredited by the organization or in possession of tickets to attend the events.

FYI

The blue and red perimeters will be activated simultaneously on the competition days at the sites concerned 2 hours 30 minutes before the start of the first event. They will be lifted one hour after the end of the last test.

Please note

The Paris Police Department has published a summary table specifying which users will be able to access the various perimeters.

The JOPTIMIZ platform and its tools

JOPTIMIZ consists of 4 tools each with a different scope of action.

CirQliz

This platform is dedicated to professionals wishing to go to a blue zone. It generates a QR code valid for the duration of the JOPs and simplifies the control for the forces of law and order. CirQliz thus makes it possible to fluidize the circulation in these zones.

Finally, this tool can encourage companies to delay their deliveries in the event of high numbers of people in the area concerned.

Visualiz

This is a interactive map stating in particular:

  • red and blue areas;
  • delivery areas;
  • reserved Olympic lanes;
  • hospitals and health centers—
Numeric

The Numériz mobile app allows drivers of company cars to declare their parking. It also displays the available delivery places in an area. It is possible for the company to register several vehicles on this platform.

Itineriz

This tool takes into account traffic restrictions and calculates the best route in real time.

Please note

The LUJOP (Urban Logistics of Daily Life during the Olympic and Paralympic Games) approach, which developed JOPTIMIZ, makes available to you presentation and usage webinars of the JOPTIMIZ platform.
