As an episode of ozone (O3) air pollution is currently affecting part of the country, check Prev'Air for outdoor air quality near you.
The Prev'Air system was set up in 2003 at the initiative of the Ministry of the Environment. It aims to disseminate daily air quality forecasts and maps from numerical simulations at different spatial scales, relying in particular on data produced by AASQA (Approved Air Quality Monitoring Associations).
Observation maps based on field measurements are also available.
The forecasts concern ozone, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and suspended particulates (PM 10 and PM 2,5).
FYI
The site also offers to know the level of the index Atmo in several french cities, air quality is worse when the index is higher (indices above 7 reflect poor air quality). This index is calculated daily by the AASQAs from data recorded by their urban and peri-urban sampling stations.
