In the context of the so-called reform , a decree published in Official Journal of 12 January 2019 lays down the detailed rules for the gradual introduction of full reimbursement (zero-charge) by the Social Security and health supplements for certain glasses, dental prostheses and hearing aids, in particular by setting ceiling tariffs.
In the field of optics, for example, this decree fixes the amounts of support which vary according to the type of correction prescribed (up to €800 for progressive lenses) with a maximum reimbursement of €100 in any case.
These guarantees will be limited to one pair of glasses per 2-year period (except in cases where an early renewal may be provided for, in particular, for children under 16 years of age and in the event of changes in vision).

These provisions concern contracts entered into or renewed as from 1er January 2020 for glasses and dentures. For hearing aids, at 1er january 2020, the care of hearing aids is improved with a decrease of €250 per ear of the charge remaining on the appliances included in the device of the .
