In particular, travelers are now required to provide information about their social media accounts, phone numbers and email addresses used in the last five years for visa-required stays in the United States of America.
When applying online for a visa for a stay of more than 90 days for the United States of America, it is now mandatory to:
mention all its social media accounts that have been visited over the past five years;
indicate the identifiers used (but not the passwords);
provide telephone numbers and e-mail addresses used during the same period;
to answer questions about recent international travel and possible deportations from a foreigner country;
and, where appropriate, to identify family members involved in terrorist activities.
Please note
These measures do not apply to French nationals wishing to enter the United States for a period of less than 90 days.
They must apply through the Electronic Travel Authorization System (ESTA). This online form also contains inquiries about social media accounts (including login details). The candidate's response is optional.
