Can I use my parking lot to store furniture?

This text provides, only in the social park, for a three-year experiment allowing the use of certain parking spaces as storage places in derogation from Article 78 of the Decree of 31 January 1986 concerning the fire protection of residential buildings.

However, the parking lots where this experiment is launched cannot under any circumstances communicate directly with the common parts of the building.

In addition, the boxes in question must comply with certain points:

• they are located at the lowest level in the second basement level below the emergency access reference level, unless the boxes are equipped with an automatic water extinguishing system;
• they shall have no more than two parking spaces, i.e. an area of not more than 26 m2;
• they are completely enclosed, the walls are solid and brick-work, closed by a solid metal or E30 type door (any modifications of adaptation must not disturb the ventilation of the park);
• they do not have a natural ventilation grate to the outside of the box nor do they have air vents to the other circulations of the building;
• with the exception of fixed lighting, electrical installations are prohibited in boxes, in particular electrical outlets, in order to avoid the risks associated with the connection of electrical equipment or to promote other uses of boxing.

Finally, the objects stored must not exceed an average heat load of 450 MJ per m2, some objects being nevertheless prohibited from storage (food unless they are correctly packaged, combustible materials or liquids, firearms, etc.).
