An upgraded back-to-school allowance

The back-to-school allowance (ARS) is paid on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in mainland France and in the overseas departments (Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique). This year, the LRA is exceptionally increased by €100 to help families with back-to-school expenses.

The amounts of the boarding premium are changing

The premium will now vary according to the level of the grant: from €258 to €297 for a middle school student and €258 to €423 for a high school student.

Enrollment in higher education

From 1^er august 2020, if you have not yet received the certificate of completion of the diploma you have prepared this year, you can enroll temporarily in higher education. All you have to do is prove your success within four months of your temporary registration.

Back to School 2020: Enhanced Scholarships for Students

This year, the upgrading of 1.17% represents an increase of €12 to €67 according to the rates.

Unemployment insurance benefits

The minimum period of membership required to qualify for unemployment benefit is increased from 130 days (6 months) to 88 days worked (4 months). The entitlement to unemployment benefit (ARE, ASS...) is extended for jobseekers who have reached the end of their entitlement between 1^er March and May 31, 2020.
