Complementary health: from 1 December 2020, it is possible to terminate your contract at any time

Once a mutual agreement is more than one year old, you no longer have to wait for its expiry date (it is a tacitly renewable agreement) to be able to terminate it.

This measure concerns individual contracts outstanding on 1^er December 2020 including guarantees for reimbursement and compensation of expenses incurred as a result of illness, maternity or accident.

The terms and conditions vary depending on whether you wish to subscribe to a new health supplement:

• You do not subscribe to a new health supplement: you must send your cancelation request, preferably by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, to your mutual, who then has a month to terminate the contract and possibly refund the contributions paid in excess. You can also send an email or a notice of denunciation in the secure personal space of your mutual.
• You subscribe to a new health supplement: it is your new mutual that will take care of the formalities necessary for the termination of the contract.

This measure also concerns compulsory collective contracts entered into by companies for the benefit of their employees. It is then the employer who makes the termination when you leave the company, if you do not want to keep the mutual or if you do not fill out the conditions for doing so.
