Proxy: how to vote on June 20 and 27?

Which voter to choose?

To vote by proxy, you must designate an elector to vote for you on Election Day. You must designate a registered voter in the same commune, but not necessarily in the same arrondissement. Nor is it necessary for it to be registered in the same polling station as yours.

For the elections of June 20 and 27, 2021, you can instruct an elector to vote for you on either June 20, June 27, or those 2 days. The elector chosen must vote for you in the 2 elections (departmental and regional). It is not possible to appoint a voter for only one of these elections, because they take place on the same day.

How do I get the power of attorney?

You can do this in 3 ways:

• Online, with the MyProxy online service. After completing the online form, you will receive a registration reference. You must then go in person to the gendarmerie or the police station. Your passage will be made easier, however, because you will only have to present your reference and your identity document (identity card, passport...). You will then receive an email from your city hall informing you that your power of attorney has been registered.
• With the form available on internet. You have to fill it out and print it. After that, you will have to go in person to the gendarmerie, the police station or the court. You will need to submit your form and present your ID (identity card, passport...).
• With the form available at the gendarmerie, the police station, the court. You will need to fill it out by hand on site and present your ID in person (identity card, passport...).

What if I've already issued a power of attorney for June 13 and 20?

The powers of attorney established for the elections originally scheduled for June 13 and 20, 2021, remain valid for the elections of June 20 and 27, 2021. Thus:

• the powers of attorney established for 13 and 20 June shall be valid for 20 and 27 June;
• the powers of attorney established for the second round originally scheduled for 20 June shall be valid for the first round of 20 June;
• the powers of attorney established for the first round of 13 June shall not be valid;
• power of attorney issued for a term that expires before june 20 is not valid.
