Publié le 22 mai 2024 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)
The 21ste editing Go to the gardens will be held from may 31 to june 2, 2024. Throughout France, hundreds of public and private gardens open their doors during these 3 days. The theme of this year's event is "The 5 Senses in the Garden". Discover the program!
For more than 20 years, the Rendez-vous aux jardins has been sponsored by the Ministry of Culture to allow visitors to discover exceptional parks and gardens throughout the country.
The event also gained a European dimension in 2018 on the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage. 550 gardens have been opened to the public in some 20 countries (Andorra, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, etc.).
This celebration is an opportunity to highlight the actions of private and public garden owners and the Ministry of Culture in restoring, conserving, maintaining and promoting this heritage.
Sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch: the garden awakens all the senses. The 2024 edition will offer throughout the weekend thousands of activities, for all audiences, novices and enlightened amateurs :
- fun and educational workshops;
- guided tours;
- sensory experiences;
- demonstrations of know-how by professionals in botany;
- exposures;
- musical walks;
- etc.
