Since 1^er march 2023, online registration to pass your driving license with PermitApr now extends to the 101 French departments. The 20 new departments added to the list on 1^er March 2023 are the Ardennes, Aube, Marne, Haute-Marne, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Meuse, Moselle, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Vosges, Côte-d'Or, Doubs, Jura, Nièvre, Haute-Saône, Saône-et-Loire, Yonne, Territoire de Belfort, Corsica-du-Sud, Haute-Corse.

PermitApr, the online booking platform for the driving license examination, has now been extended to the 96 metropolitan departments and the 5 overseas departments (Réunion, Mayotte, Guyana, Martinique and Guadeloupe).

How does it work?

To register, you have two options:

• mandate a driving school for you register on RdvPermit, and you will be informed by e-mail in real time of all steps taken on your behalf;
• create an account directly on the booking application and choose to continue your efforts, either with a driving school or as a free candidate.

To reserve your place for the exam, once registered, depending on your situation, the terms are as follows:

• if you are in a driving school, you can choose, in agreement with your instructor and according to your training schedule, the examination center, the date and the time slot of your choice;
• if you are a free candidate, you can choose the center, date and time slot yourself, and you must declare the identity of the relative (non-professional road education) who will accompany you on the day of the exam, he must hold category B of the driving license. You must provide an affidavit establishing the personal or family relationship with the accompanying person. On the day of the examination, you must provide a vehicle equipped with dual controls in accordance with the regulations in force.

You now have a space pro.permisdeconduit.gouv.fr where you can:

• register your candidates, view available places in real time and make reservations on behalf of your students;
• consult all information related to your candidates: reservations, cancelations, deadlines of representation;
• Swap two scheduled candidates in a single week without any limit.
• Replacing candidates to make up for an unexpected event, but within certain limits;
• have a regulated system that is based on your future needs and not your past exams.

Penalties

In order to limit absenteeism to unforeseeable events only, any reserved and unused space will result in a delay of 40 days before a new reservation is possible.

In addition, to encourage candidates to present themselves with a good level of preparation, the time taken to re-apply after a failure will depend on the result obtained: the lower the level during the examination, the longer it will be necessary to wait.
