Extension of paternity and childcare leave

As of 1^er July 2021, the duration of paternity and foster care leave for a child is increased to 25 days for the birth of a child. It was 11 consecutive days up to that point. Paternity leave is applicable for children born from 1^er July 2021 or born before but expected to be born on or after that date.

Partial unemployment

As of 1^er in july 2021, employees will receive a 72% (instead of 84%) of net salary. Employees in companies in sectors most affected by the crisis and those in companies that have been closed administratively will continue to receive compensation equal to 84% net salary until August 31, 2021.

Work stoppages of liberal professionals

Starting on 1^er july 2021, liberal professionals (except lawyers) will be able to benefit from daily allowances for the first 3 months in the event of a work stoppage, with only 3 days of waiting like private employees, instead of 90 days until then. Depending on their income, their contribution will be between €50 and €370 per year, for a benefit of up to €22 to €169 per day, up to a maximum of 3 months per stop and 4 stops over 3 years.

Phase 4 of deconfinement

VAT in e-commerce

As of 1^er July 2021, VAT is payable on all consignments imported from third countries to the European Union, irrespective of their value. Previously, shipments with a value less than €22 were exempt. Moreover, in specific cases, platforms that facilitate online sales of goods imported from third countries are now liable for VAT, regardless of the value of the shipment. VAT is therefore no longer systematically charged to the final customer at the time of delivery.

Obligation to provide information on plants at risk to health
