Depending on the seniority and status of the home care worker, this increase in salary can reach 300 € gross per month or 200 to 250 € net per month.

This upgrading only concerns employees in the home help sector of the voluntary sector and therefore does not apply to home help workers in the commercial private sector. 210 000 employees are affected.

All employees in the home care sector of the voluntary sector, whose employer is a member of the home care sector, are beneficiaries of this upgrading, regardless of their diploma and the job they hold. An extension mechanism is provided. Even if your employer is not affiliated with a signatory national federation, you are a beneficiary of this upgrading.

How is this revaluation calculated?

A new classification of jobs and skills was negotiated with the social partners (employers' federations and trade unions). It aims to facilitate career development within the home care sector.

Specifically, the salary adjustment is calculated individually and takes into account:

• Diplomas;
• seniority;
• Business constraints;
• The level of complexity and responsibility and the complementary functions of tutoring or supervising internships.
