Passage to winter time!

The switch to winter time will take place overnight from Saturday, October 26, to Sunday, October 27, 2024. You must move your watch back one hour: at 3 a.m., it will be 2 a.m.

The time change was introduced in France following the oil price shock of 1973-74. Since 1998, time change dates have been harmonized within the European Union. In all Member States, winter time is the last Sunday in October and summer time is the last Sunday in March.

Reminder

in march 2019, meps voted to abolish the seasonal time change, with implementation in 2021. But the end of the time change was then postponed due in part to the COVID-19 health crisis. This text on the end of the time change is no longer on the agenda.
