Publié le 22 mai 2024 - Mise à jour le 22 octobre 2024 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

As the 2024 school year began, the application process for a college scholarship changed: your eligibility for this financial assistance can be studied automatically if you accept it. Against this backdrop of regulatory developments, the grant application campaign, which was due to end in October, is exceptionally extended until 15 November 2024. Approaches, amounts, payment dates, Service-Public.fr inform you!

The college scholarship is awarded for a school year to families whose income does not exceed a certain ceiling, defined according to the number of dependent children. It is possible to apply for several scholarships if you have several children enrolled in college.

The resources and the number of dependent children are justified by the income tax notice. For the 2024-2025 school year, it is the 2024 income tax notice for 2023 that is taken into account (reference tax income).

Families with modest incomes are also eligible for other educational support such as back-to-school allowance (RSA) or the college social fund.

Campaign Calendar 2024-2025

The 2024-2025 college scholarship application campaign began on the first day of school; it is exceptionally extended until November 15, 2024 for students attending public and private schools, as well as those enrolled in the National Center for Distance Learning (Cned).

This extension is linked to the regulatory developments introduced this year regarding the annual allocation of college scholarships.

Reminder

Initially, the College Fellowship application campaign was scheduled to end on:

  • 17 October 2024 for public and private institutions;
  • October 31, 2024 for students enrolled at the Center national d'enseignement à distance (Cned).

How to apply for a scholarship for the 2024-2025 school year?

Your child is attending a public school

As of this 2024-2025 school year, the terms and conditions for applying for the scholarship will evolve to allow automatic study. You can consent to the automatic study of your right to a scholarship at the time of your child's enrollment or re-enrollment in college, and if applicable until the end of the application campaign on November 15, 2024. This agreement is equivalent to a scholarship application.

For the automatic study of the right to the scholarship, you are asked to complete your data of extended civil status (surname and forenames, date and place of birth, as well as those of your potential cohabiting partner). This is to enable the recovery of the tax data necessary for the examination of the grant application.

If you do not consent to this arrangement, you can apply for a scholarship until November 15, 2024 inclusive:

  • or by using the online service Online service Scholarships, which will be reopened in the coming days (for all public colleges of all academies, access is by connecting to the portal School-Services via EduConnect or with FranceConnect;
  • or by using the college scholarship application form.
