"Mon Psy": 8 annual psychological counseling sessions reimbursed

Announced last September, the

My Shrink

is available since April 5, 2022 and allows patients, over 3 years of age and with mild to moderate psychological disorders, to receive reimbursement for 8 psychological support sessions per year. It is not open to patients with severe forms of psychological disorders, who must be managed by a psychiatrist.

Practitioners' fees are set at €30 per session (€40 for the assessment interview of the first session) and may not be exceeded. They are reimbursed 60% by the Health Insurance, the balance being covered by the supplementary insurance. This annual package will be renewable, under the same conditions as the first one.

What are the conditions for the patient?

In order to benefit from this scheme, it is necessary to:

• be at least 3 years of age and have mild to moderate disorders (anxiety, depression, anxiety, smoking problems, alcohol or cannabis use, eating disorders);
• be referred to a psychologist by a doctor by letter;
• speak to a psychologist who is a part of this system. You can find a partner psychologist near you.

What conditions must the psychologist comply with?

For psychologists, the sessions can be reimbursed under certain conditions.

The selected psychologist must:

• be registered with their regional health agency;
• have professional experience, at least 3 years' professional experience and training attesting to a background in clinical psychology or psychopathology;
• have concluded an agreement with the primary sickness insurance fund.

Payment and reimbursement arrangements

The patient pays the psychologist, who gives him a care sheet to send to the Health Insurance, with the “address mail” of the doctor when the reimbursement request for the first session.

The psychologist is paid directly, without advance payment from patients, in the following situations:

• beneficiary of the Complementary Solidarity Health (CSS);
• beneficiary of State Medical Aid (AME);
• disease-related care: Long-term illness (LTD);
• maternity care (from 6^e months of pregnancy);
• accident at work care in connection with an occupational disease (AT-MP).

Transportation can be managed if the physician determines that the psychologist's referral is related to ALD and the patient has a disability or incapacity justifying the prescription of medical transportation.
