You haven't reported your move, can you vote?

Have you recently moved? Are you wondering if you will be able to vote in your new municipality for the European elections? To vote, you must be registered on the electoral lists of a municipality, which is most often that of your main residence.

The European elections will take place on 8 and 9 June 2024. To vote in these elections, you must be registered to vote. To check if you are registered, and in which municipality, you can use the on-line service available on Service-Public.fr.

If you moved without reporting your departure, you can continue to vote in your former communedirectly or by giving a proxy to a registered voter (in that municipality or in another), if you are still on his list.

If you've been written off, you have to re-registerunder the conditions of time necessary for the forthcoming election.

For the European elections, the deadline for voter registration was 1er may 2024 for online registration, and until may 3, 2024 in town hall. In some cases, you can register to vote after the deadline.

Warning  

You can't go to your former commune to vote and you want to give power of attorney? The elector to whom you give power of attorney will have to surrender in the polling station of your former commune.
