Publié le null - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Need to make an appointment with a specialist? Since 1er April 2022, you have the option to contact your general practitioner or a healthcare professional to get a specialist's opinion quickly. Teleexpertise reduces wait times for specialists and improves access to care in medical deserts. It has been open to everyone since the 1ster April 2022.

Up to 1er In April 2022, the telecounting scheme was reserved for patients with a long-term illness (ALD) or a rare disease, people living in ADHDs or inmates.

What is teleexpertise?

Telescoping is an exchange between two professionals that does not necessarily require the presence of the patient. The latter must, however, give its consent after having been informed of the conditions for carrying out the telescoping.

Your doctor will contact one of your colleagues via secure email to get their feedback on a condition. The specialist then sends a report to the health professional who has requested it and thus indicates to the doctor whether the case of the patient requires urgent treatment or not. You can consult this review on the platform My health space.

Please note

Any doctor can use telescoping or carry out a telescoping, whatever his specialty, his area of exercise and his place of exercise, in town or in a health facility (town office, nursing home, health center, Ehpad, hospital, clinic...).

What's the fare?

Teleexpertise may not give rise to any overcharging of fees.

By way of derogation, the telescoping exercise is invoiced as a third-party payment. It is supported at 100% by Health Insurance.

The patient can trace the billing of this act concerning him under the heading “Telescoping” in his refund statement.

Please note

The teleexpertise cannot be combined with any other act or increase.

The scheme will soon be extended to midwives

Since 1er april 2022, this system is extended to general practitioners, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and medical assistants (nurses, physical therapists, etc.). Since April 6, speech therapists have had access to teleexpertise. Midwives are expected to have access to them as of September 2022.
