From 1er May, the Smic rises by 2.65%, or about €34 net per month. The minimum salary index for staff and contractors in the three public services (State, hospital and territorial) is raised by the same level. The regulation strengthening consumer protection for Internet buyers comes into force on 28 May. Raising the Smic to 1er may 2022 results in a revision of the personal pension ceiling on the same date, it is raised to €1,273.76 per month, an increase of €32.88.

Social benefits

May 15: Deadline to establish your Student Social Record (SSR) which will allow you to apply for a scholarship on social criteria (BCS) and for housing in university residence. Social and family benefits paid by CAF and MSA were increased by 1.8% to 1er April 2022, they are collected as of May 5. As a result of the recent increase in the minimum wage, the amount of daily subsistence allowance for sick leave increases from 1er May 2022.

Transport

End of the mandatory wearing of masks in public transport (buses, metros, trains, taxis...) in France from Monday, May 16, 2022. The mechanism PermitApr allowing you to make an online appointment for the driving license test has been extended to 18 new departments since 2 May 2022.
