Despite a 37% increase in the number of Bafa (Facilitator Credentials) issued in 2022, the animation sector is still under stress. A decree of 20 July 2023 confirms the granting of exceptional assistance to young people engaged in a civic service mission who wish to apply for the Bafa or BAFD training. This help from €100 shall be granted to persons have completed a Civic Service commitment in 2022 or are preparing to do so by the end of 2023. Objective: to enable these young people to acquire further training and to take part in a new civic experience.

Who can collect the aid?

This exceptional aid of a lump sum of €100 is intended to compensate for part of the costs of enrolling in a training session (general, advanced or in-depth) under the Facilitator’s Qualification (Bafa) or the Director’s Qualification (BAFD). The cost of the training is estimated at between 800 and 900 €.

You can receive support if:

• you are Civic Service volunteer between 1^er january and december 31, 2023 ;
• or you have completed a civic service volunteer assignment in 2022 ;
• you are registered between 1^er January 2023 and 1^er september 2024 training in preparation for the Bafa or the BAFD, allowing the supervision of collective shelters for minors;
• this training is provided by a authorized body.

How do I get help?

Applications for the aid shall be made via the online service of theService and Payment Agency (ASP)

The closing date for the submission of applications shall be November 30, 2024 inclusive. Any application filed after this date or any incomplete file will be rejected.

Applications shall be taken into account in the order in which the dossiers are received, up to 10 000 cases for which aid is paid.

What should be in your file?

• L'certification of completion of a Bafa or BAFD training session completed and signed by you and the organization.
• The applicant’s bank identity statement (BID) or, failing that, any document that could enable the SPO to ensure payment of the application.
