The fuel rebate, introduced in April 2022 to limit the sharp increase in gasoline and diesel prices, is being extended until December 31, 2022. State support for individuals and certain professionals (e.g. taxis, farmers, fishermen) amounts to 30 cents including VAT per liter until 15 November in mainland France. From 16 November, until 31 December, the amount will be increased to 10 cents including tax.
The price at the pump is made up of the price of oil and taxes.
