The Banque de France receives more than one million calls every year out of the approximately 200 numbers in the territory. The creation of 3414 at the end of October aims to offer better visibility and efficiency on the offer of services of the Banque de France to individuals.

The introduction of this unique number takes place in the context of high inflation, where over-indebtedness, access to the account and registration procedures are the subject of increased attention.

When to call 3414?

The number is open to individuals wishing to contact the Banque de France in the context of its public service missions, but also to heads of company.

It is accessible from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm (price of a local call, not surcharged).

Individuals can request this number on the following questions:

  • over-indebtedness;
  • account entitlement;
  • right of access to bank incident files;
  • general information in case of banking or insurance questions or difficulties (Bank Info).

FYI  

A person residing in France who is unable to obtain a bank account can ask the Banque de France to designate a bank that will be obliged to give him access to basic services. This measure has also been accessible since the end of 2021, even if you already have a joint account.
