What is the activity bonus?

The activity bonus is a social assistance designed to supplement your income, it is granted on a means-tested basis. The Family Allowance Fund (CAF) or the Mutualité sociale agricole (MSA), if you are a farmer or an agricultural employee, pays the activity premium.

The purpose of this premium is to encourage workers (employed or self-employed) with modest resources to pursue or resume a professional activity and to support their purchasing power.

What is the amount of the activity bonus?

The amount of the activity bonus you will receive depends on your situation. It is calculated automatically, and customized according to the amount of your resources and all the resources of your dependent household members (including benefits paid by the FAC or the AMM).

The lump sum (the basic amount for calculating the activity premium) is €586.23 for a single person.

The calculation formula is as follows: Activity bonus amount = (lump sum amount possibly increased according to the number of dependants + 61% of professional income + individual bonuses) - the household resources taken into account.

What are the conditions for receiving the activity bonus?

To qualify for the activity bonus, you must meet the following conditions:

• be 18 years of age or older;
• have a professional activity and receive modest income;
• reside in France in a stable and effective manner.

How to apply?

The activity bonus request is made via a online service of the Family Allowance Fund (Cf) or the Agricultural social mutual society (MSA) if you are dependent on the farm plan.

When is the activity bonus paid?

The activity bonus is paid to you from 1^er the day of the month in which you filed your application.

The bonus is paid monthly (e.g. the March activity bonus is paid in April), by your department's CAF or MSA.
