Published on Official Journal of 1er march 2023, the law of february 28, 2023, creates emergency universal assistance for victims of domestic violence, in the form of a donation or interest-free loan. It's about helping these victims to quickly leave the matrimonial home to seek safety and make a fresh start.
In 2021, 122 women were killed by their spouses (up 20% from 2020) and 208,000 domestic violence victims were registered by the security services. For many of these victims, leaving the marital home is impossible due to financial dependence, especially for housewives with children.
