DiscoverEU is one of the actions proposed by the program Erasmus+. It is aimed at 18-year-olds to enable them to discover European diversity through free transport tickets and discounts on many cultural activities or services.
Who can participate?
The conditions for applying are as follows:
- Be born between 1er January 2005 (inclusive) and 31 December 2005 (inclusive);
- Be a citizen or resident of:
- a Member State of the European Union, including overseas departments and regions;
- or a non-EU country associated with the Erasmus+ program: Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.
How to apply?
To apply, please log in to the European Youth Portal, click on the "Apply" button and enter your nationality, date of birth and the requested ID.
You will then have to answer a quiz testing your general knowledge of the European Union (except in case of application as a member of a group).
If you are selected, you can win tickets to travel for a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 30 days between 1er march 2024 and may 31, 2025.
Traveling with friends
You can form a group with a maximum of 4 eligible friends. The same application code can then be used by the members of the group. It is also possible to coordinate its project with other DiscoverEU travelers and join the group DiscoverEU Facebook.
