Family and social benefits: new amounts as of 1 April 2025

Family allowances, RSA, activity premium, childcare allowance, back-to-school allowance... Every year on 1er April, family and social benefits, as well as some social minima, are being increased. This year it is 1.7%. It takes into account the level of inflation over the last 12 months, estimated by INSEE at 2%. A large number of social allowances and benefits are increased to 1er April 2025, as outlined in the interdepartmental instruction of March 17, 2025.

The level of revaluation shall be determined each year on the basis of the non-tobacco consumer price index. While the figures of the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) indicate an inflation rate of 2% for the year 2024, the revaluation at 1er april 2025 was established at 1.7%.

The new amounts are effective from 1er april 2025.

Social benefits upgraded as of April 1, 2025

At 1er April 2025, the following social benefits are increased by 1.7%:

The calculation of the active solidarity income (SSA) and the activity premium is quarterly; the revaluation of their amount will therefore take effect gradually between April and September 2025, depending on the date of the quarterly reporting of beneficiaries’ resources.

Family allowances increased as of April 1, 2025

The monthly basis for calculating family allowances (BMAF) is upgraded to 1er April 2025 and extended to €474.37 (compared to €466.44 since 1er April 2024).
