Family allowances, RSA, activity premium, childcare allowance, back-to-school allowance... Every year on 1er April, family and social benefits, as well as some social minima, are being increased. This year it is 4.6%. It takes into account the level of inflation over the last 12 months, estimated by INSEE at 4.9%. A large number of social allowances and benefits are increased to 1er April 2024, as outlined in the March 20, 2024 interdepartmental direction.
The level of revaluation shall be determined each year on the basis of the non-tobacco consumer price index. While figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) indicate an inflation rate of 4.9% for 2023, the revaluation at 1er april 2024 was established at 4.6%.
The new amounts will be effective from May 6, 2024.
Social benefits upgraded as of April 1, 2024
At 1er April 2024, social benefits are increased by 4.6%.
The decree of 29 April 2024 sets the monthly lump sum of active solidarity income (SSA) applicable to a beneficiary household consisting of a single person €635.71 (amount revalued from 1er April 2024).

The monthly basis for calculating family allowances (BMAF) is upgraded to 1er April 2024 and extended to €466.44 (compared to €445.93 since 1er April 2023).

- Early Childhood Care Benefit (ELCC): birth premium, adoption premium, basic allowance ;
- Shared Child Education Benefit (PreParE) ;
- free choice of mode of custody (CMG) supplement: home care, micro-nursery, mother-to-mother assistance ;
- family supplement (family of 3 or more children) ;
- family support allowance (FSA): orphaned child, child taken in, separated parents, unrecognized child ;
- back-to-school allowance ;
- education allowance for disabled children (AEEH) ;
- daily parental attendance allowance (DPA) ;
- removal allowance ;
- lump-sum allowance in the event of the death of a child.
Note that the resource ceilings for the allocation of the complementary health solidarity (C2S) are also upgraded.
