The minimum salary in the civil service is increased to €1,750.86 gross monthly corresponding to the index plus 361 to take account of the increase in the minimum growth wage (Smic) from 2.22% to 1^er May 2023.

In order to prevent certain civil servants from being paid below the minimum wage threshold, the minimum wage index for public servants is therefore raised from 1^er May 2023. The decree was issued in Official Journal April 27, 2023.

What are the changes?

Taking into account the increase in the Smic of 2.22% at 1^er may 2023, the minimum wage index in the public service is therefore increased as of 1^er May 2023. It is EUR 1 750,86 gross monthly for a full-time period, corresponding to index plus 361, index plus 397 gross instead of EUR 1 712,06, index plus 353, index plus 385 gross.
