The index point revalued by 1,5 % from 1 July 2023

A decree of 29 June confirms the 1.5% increase in the value of the index point for public officials from 1er July 2023, as announced by the Department of Transformation and Public Service on June 12. 5.7 million public officials are affected. Service-Public.fr provides an update on this measure.

The 1.5% increase in index point at 1er july 2023 concerns all public officials (civil and military personnel of the State, personnel of local authorities and public hospitals).

Reminder

the index point had recovered by 3.5% in july 2022.

The annual value of the salary corresponding to the index 100 plus is thus increased to €5,907.34 (against €5,820.04). The index point changes from €4.85 - €4.92.

The decree also allocates differentiated increased index points for gross indices 367 to 418.

This allocation of additional points - up to 9 points, i.e. an increase of €44 gross per month - increases the remuneration of officials in the first steps of grades in category C and the first two grades in category B, as well as contractual agents remunerated on the basis of these indices. Basic pay for early-career members is also covered.

Finally, note the allocation of 5 index points plus from 1er january 2024 for all public officials, or a gross monthly increase of almost €25.
