The measure was announced by the Minister of Transformation and the Public Service on June 12 when the 1.5 per cent increase in the value of the public service index point was announced.

A decree of July 31, 2023 announces its implementation. The creation of an exceptional purchasing power premium concerns officials of the State and hospital civil services and the military.

Please note that at 1^er january 2024, a flat-rate revaluation of 5 index points will be established for the staff of the three public services. That's about 2€5 gross per month.

A premium subject to conditions

The purchasing power premium is subject to several cumulative conditions:

• have been recruited or appointed by a public employer before 1^er January 2023;
• remain in place as of June 30, 2023;
• to have received, between 1^er July 2022 and June 30, 2023, a remuneration of up to €39,000 gross or €3,250 gross per month maximum.

How much for the purchasing power premium?

The amount of the exceptional premium is staggered between €300 and €800.

The lump sum is calculated on the basis of the gross remuneration received for the period from of 1^er july 2022 to june 30, 2023 :

• remuneration less than or equal to € 23 700: €800 ;
• remuneration of more than € 23 700 and less than or equal to € 27 300: €700 ;
• remuneration of more than € 27 300 and less than or equal to € 29 160: €600 ;
• remuneration of more than € 29 160 and less than or equal to € 30 840: €500 ;
• remuneration of more than € 30 840 and less than or equal to € 32 280: €400 ;
• remuneration of more than € 32 280 and less than or equal to € 33 600: €350 ;
• remuneration of more than € 33 600 and less than or equal to € 39 000: €300.
