In case of malfunctions encountered with fixed, mobile, internet and postal operators, you can now alert Arcep (the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications, Posts and Press Distribution) through its new online platform.

This forum is intended for individuals, companies and communities alike.

Reminder

Arcep is an independent administrative authority which monitors the quality of service provided by telephone and Internet operators and by La Poste.

How does it work?

Go to I'm alerting Arcep :

  • Specify your status (Individual, Company, Community, Developer, Operator).
  • State the purpose of your alert (mobile, fixed-internet, postal, terminal equipment, press distribution) and your explanations: you have the possibility to report any type of problem (change of mobile operator, contract, subscription, net neutrality, canvassing/spam, invoice, disability, etc.).
  • Navigate to the tip sheets for your issue.

What are Arcep's actions?

The escalation of malfunctions by users allows Arcep to optimize its regulatory actions.

When a spike in alerts about the same malfunction is identified, the authority’s action can take different forms:

  • contact the operator to ensure that they have detected the malfunction themselves and that they provide a quick solution: your alert prevents a malfunction from settling over time;
  • modify or clarify the regulatory framework to adapt it to specific situations: your alert contributes to the evolution of regulation as close as possible to the daily life of users;
  • in some cases, open proceedings against an operator: your alert feeds the clues to qualify the problem.

Warning

Arcep does not settle individual disputes between users and operators. Such disputes shall be reported to the DGCCRF (Directorate-General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention) or via the SignalConso.
