Why change your password?

Caf explains that “it is essential to adopt preventive measures to protect your information.” Personal data such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and even financial information can be used to commit fraud following a cyber attack.

Users who maintain unchanged passwords for long periods of time are more vulnerable to intrusion attempts.

As of 8 March 2024, changing the password will become mandatory for all recipients who have not yet done so, as soon as they log into their account. Tutorials will also facilitate this process.

Please note

each recipient whose account is attested to having been visited is contacted and their password reset in order to block any access to their account by an unauthorized person.

What is a good password?

As a reminder, a safe and reliable password must be:

  • different for each site;
  • complex: + 10 characters and at least one digit, one lowercase letter and one uppercase letter;
  • impossible to guess;
  • regularly amended;
  • communicated to no one, not even to the Caf.
