Publié le 03 juillet 2024 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Beware, especially with regard to alcohol and cigarettes, customs duties set exemptions, even if you are traveling to Europe. Service-Public.fr explains the regulations with 2 infographics.

As of March 29, 2024, demonstrating the commercial nature of a cross-border purchase of tobacco is no longer based solely on the quantity transported. This follows the publication of a decree of March 27, 2024, published in the Official Journal 29 march 2024.
