AEEA Subscription

Students and apprentices: a simulator to know the price of your train tickets!

Publié le 14 août 2024 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Do you take many TGV or Intercity trips between your place of residence and your place of study or learning? Are you aware that there is a Student-Student-Apprentice (AEEA) Subscription? Service-Public.fr provides you with a simulator to see how much a ticket costs, depending on your journey.

The Student-Student-Apprentice Subscription (AEEA) allows students to benefit from reduced rates on their train journey. It does not concern journeys between home and place of study, or between home and place of learning.

Warning

the AEEA is not working only for TGV and Intercity journeys. If you regularly travel on regional trains (NOMAD, liO Train, Rémi, TER...), this approach is not appropriate.

How do I know the price of train tickets with the AEEA?

Service-Public.fr has set up a simulator that allows you to calculate the cost of a train ticket with the AEEA.

To do this, you must fill in your station of origin and your station of arrival.

The simulator will tell you:

  • the type of train proposed for the journey (Interités, Interités de nuit, TGV...);
  • the price of a ticket in 2nde class;
  • the price of a ticket in 1re class.

Warning

the prices offered by the simulator are indicative.

How do I apply for a Pupils, Students and Apprentices (AEEA) subscription?

You must apply online. After validation, you will get a certificate to print. The certificate shall be valid for an academic year and is only valid between the stations of your home and your place of study or learning.

Please note

you will have to present this certificate at the station when purchasing your tickets and on board the train.

You will then have to buy your tickets by batch of 10 minimum. Trips must be completed within 2 months of purchase.
