64: this is the number of medals won by France at the 2024 Olympic Games

The French delegation won 64 medals at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, which took place from July 26 to August 11, 2024. France is fifth in the ranking of nations; it is the first European country.

During the 2024 Paris Olympics, 329 sports events were held at 35 competition venues. The 64 medals won by the French athletes are distributed as follows:

  • 16 gold medals;
  • 26 silver medals;
  • 22 bronze medals.

Fifth of the International Olympic Committee country ranking, France is ahead of:

  1. the United States (126 medals, including 40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze);
  2. the People's Republic of China (91 medals, including 40 gold, 27 silver and 24 bronze);
  3. Japan (45 medals, including 20 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze);
  4. Australia (53 medals, including 18 gold, 19 silver and 16 bronze).

Countries are ranked according to the number of gold medals won by their athletes. In the case of a tie, they are divided by the number of silver medals obtained, then by the number of bronze medals.

Please note

At the previous Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, the French delegation won 33 medals (10 gold, 12 silver and 11 bronze).
