Back to school 2024: list of recommended supplies

The list of school supplies requested by teachers must be limited and simple; according to the recommendations of the Ministry of National Education, in its preparation schools and establishments must take into account the financial cost and the weight of the school bag without, however, harming the quality of the teaching. Model lists have been drawn up for schoolchildren and pupils enrolled in elementary school.

As a parent of a pupil, you are informed of the final list of supplies for your child as of June:

  • by making the document available on the home page of the school’s website and within the digital working area (ENT);
  • by physically displaying the list in a place that is easily accessible to parents.

Model lists have been developed to provide a framework for teachers. These lists contain a set of basic articles (diary, compass, 4 ball pens, 12 colored pencils...) based on the student's level: schoolboy or middle school student. They take into account 3 factors:

  • a reasonable budget for all families;
  • a lightweight binder;
  • recyclable, sortable or refillable products.

Please note

To limit the cost of supplies for families, the Ministry of National Education advises schools and institutions to:

  • limiting and harmonizing teachers' demands;
  • organize a phasing of purchases;
  • to engage as much as possible in joint procurement of supplies.
