Dental prevention takes on a new form with “M'T teeth every year!”

Publié le 26 mars 2025 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

From 1er April 2025, the M’T denttes program is being strengthened by the French Health Insurance Program to promote oral prevention. This provision responds to the recommendations of the High Health Authority (HAS). Service-Public.fr informs you about the new modalities of the “M'T teeth every year” device.

Until now, the M'T dents program has provided for an oral appointment every 3 years. At these ages, the Health Insurance sent an invitation and a care voucher to be transmitted to the practitioner during the appointment.

From 1er April, the program is taking on a new form. Young people aged 3-24 now receive an annual prevention exam and the necessary care defined at this appointment.

The Health Insurance covers 100% this program, without any advance payment.

An annual appointment for minors and adults (up to 24 years old)

Every year, at the child's birthday month, parents or adult will now receive an invitation by email for an appointment without advance payment. Parents or young adults can choose the practitioner (dental surgeon). Some key ages (3, 6, 12 and 18), a mail will always be sent, as foreseen in the previous arrangement.

Appointment can be made during 1 year from the anniversary date.

You will need to bring:

  • the beneficiary's Vitale card
  • the health booklet;
  • the health add-on card, if applicable.

The support form has been deleted.

What is the M'T dents consultation?

From now on, the examination must include:

  • a search for risk factors (thumb sucking, smoking, sugar consumption, etc.);
  • a complete dental examination (DBE);
  • health education advice (brushing in particular);
  • if necessary, the establishment of a care plan within 6 months of the DBA.

FYI

Orthodontic care is not included in the device.

Please note

If oral care is prescribed within 6 months following the M'T dental appointment, it is covered by the health insurance and the supplementary health (up to 60 and 40%). There is full coverage by the Health Insurance if the patient does not have a health supplement.

Reminder

An oral examination is offered to women during maternity: from 4e months of pregnancy until the end of 6e months after delivery.
