0 800 112 112: a number to call you in case of emergency

Since 1er october 2024, if you request an emergency service by telephone, you will be called by 0 800 112 112. Service-Public.fr informs you and reminds you of the emergency numbers you need to know.

Malaise, fire, injured person, road accident, harassment... have you contacted an emergency number? From now on, you will be contacted again via the 0 800 112 112. This number is free, you will not be charged or overcharged for dropping out. There is no risk in answering this call, it is not spam.

Not to be surprised if it appears on your phone screen, you can add it to your smartphone directory under the name “Emergency Services”; you will know that you can answer with confidence.

FYI  

The 0 800 112 112 does not take an emergency call directly, it is a number that only calls back the applicant.

If you call back 0 800 112 112, a voice message will tell you to call back the traditional emergency service you previously contacted.

The emergency numbers to know

Victim assistance:

  • 15 - Samu;
  • 17 - Emergency Police;
  • 18 - Firefighters;
  • 112 - European emergency number;
  • 114 - Emergency number for deaf and hard of hearing persons;
  • 115 - Samu social;
  • 119 - Children in danger;
  • 3018 - School bullying, cyberbullying of young people;
  • 3114 - Suicide prevention;
  • 3919 - Stop the violence.

National useful numbers:

  • 3237 - On-call pharmacy;
  • 196 - Rescue at sea;
  • 191 - Aeronautical Emergencies;
  • 3117 (by telephone) or 31 177 (by SMS) - SNCF and RATP.

Electricity and gas emergency:

  • Electricity: 09 72 67 50 XX (replace XX with your department number);
  • Gas: 0 800 47 33 33.

Addictions:

  • 0 800 23 13 13 - Drugs info services;
  • 09 74 75 13 13 - Players info services;
  • 39 89 - Tobacco info services;
  • 09 80 98 09 30 - Alcohol info services.

Poison control centers:

The numbers depend on your geographical area of intervention (there are 9 poison centers in France that can inform you about the toxic risks of all existing products, medicinal, industrial and natural.
