Accidents at work: a campaign to prevent them

Faced with the high number of serious and fatal accidents at work (ATGM), the Ministry of Labor and Employment is launching a campaign called The safety of employees is something we have to think about every day in order to raise awareness among employers and employees about these risks of accidents.

In 2022, more than 559 812 accidents at work have been declared for employees of the general scheme and the agricultural scheme. 38,022 of which have caused lasting and 789 one death.

In addition, every day in France, more than 100 employees are seriously injured and 2 die as a result of work.

In order to reduce these high figures, the Ministry of Labor and Employment is undertaking a prevention campaign relying on a complete file and on multiple TV spots and radio.

Towards better prevention of occupational risks

The countryside The safety of employees is something we have to think about every day aims to:

  • inform and raise awareness with pedagogy employers, employees and the general public on serious or fatal accidents at work;
  • highlight the means of action and prevention available to employers;
  • recall the responsibility of the company in preventing accidents;
  • reaffirm the existence of legal, preventive and protective measures;
  • better recognize hazardous situations at work.

Reminder

Accident at work For an l'l to be recognized, 2 conditions must be completed:

  • the accidental fact (sudden and unexpected) in the working environment ;
  • the accident caused a physical and/or psychological damage.
