Geolocate a town hall to process my request

Do you want to apply for or renew a passport and/or national identity card (CNI)? You can, first of all, geolocate a town hall near you on the website of the National Agency for Secure Titles (NSA).

The ANT also makes available a search engine to find an appointment as soon as possible.

Pre-apply online

Before attending the appointment, you can pre-apply online for an identity card and/or passport on the portal France Titles of the ANT. The connection is made with your France Connect credentials.

The steps are as follows:

• Connect to your space.
• Click on “New Request”.
• Select the type of pre-requisition you want to perform.
• start your walk.

Careful, the subject of your pre-request will no longer be editable afterwards, be sure to choose the reason for it. Once the process is completed, you get a pre-application number that you will have to communicate in town hall at the time of the appointment.

Go to town hall to finalize the request

Take meeting in town hall on the website France Titles:

• with your pre-request number, the city council officer finds your file online and you validate it together;
• the mayoral officer takes your fingerprints, either for the CNI or the passport (children under 12 years are not concerned);
• your application is then validated in town hall and you will receive a message to come and collect your identity card when it is ready.

Track the progress of editing my ID

Once your application has been validated in town hall, you will be given a 17-character number through which you can follow online the different stages of the production of your passport and/or national identity card.

My driving license abroad

Do you need an international driving license to drive abroad? If you are traveling in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you do not need it. If you go to another country, the rules vary: either your French license is sufficient or you must have an international license.

How do I get an international license?

You must pre-apply online for the international permit via the portal France Titles. The following documents must then be sent by post to the address indicated at the end of the procedure:

• the online application certificate;
• a recent photo of identity less than 6 months old and in compliance with the standards;
• a pre-franked envelope with 2 stamps and a sticker of the Post “letter followed” labeled with your name, first name and desired address (recommended ones are not accepted).

These documents must be sent within 2 months from your online pre-request. After this period, your file is automatically rejected.
