Publié le 17 mars 2025 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)

Do you have an expatriation project? The 15e "Expatrier - mode d'emploi" will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 in Paris, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. You will be able to obtain information on several topics: work, taxation, retirement, health...

To carry out an expatriation project, it is recommended to prepare yourself sufficiently in advance. You must take many steps before departure and during the months following your arrival abroad.

What are the procedures to be performed? To which administrations should you report your departure? What precautions (health, safety...) to take before leaving France? Some rules vary depending on the country in which you plan to settle.

Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 9 am to 6 pm, you can get personalized advice from professionals at the “Expatriate - instruction manual” fair. Four poles are planned:

  • a “legal and fiscal” center, including notaries and representatives of the Directorate of Non-Resident Taxes;
  • a “social” center, including the Center for European and International Social Security Liaison (Cleiss), Pension Insurance and France Travail;
  • an “education” hub, with the Agence pour l’enseignement français à l’Exterior (AEFE) and the Center national d’enseignement à distance (CNED);
  • a "destination" hub, with notably the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Canadian Embassy in France, the Québec General Delegation and France Volunteers (French platform for international exchange and solidarity volunteering).

You can also attend conferences on the following topics:

  • social protection - going covered and serene;
  • expatriate as a family;
  • preparing for my first trip abroad;
  • expatriate pensioners - how are your pensions taxed?

The various conferences will also be broadcast live on the event's YouTube channel. You can find the full schedule of conferences on the website of the exhibition.

Entrance to the "Expatriate - instruction manual" exhibition is free after registration (subject to availability). To register, you must surrender on expatriermodedemploi.org.

The lounge takes place at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (17, boulevard Jourdan, 14e Paris district).
