Eco-lending at zero interest rate: the terms of the scheme are changing

You can apply for the zero-interest eco-loan facility for a home you own, live in or lease. The eco-PTZ is awarded without resource conditions.

Harmonization between work eligible for the eco-PTZ and that eligible for MaPrimeRénov'

It is possible to cumulate the eco-loan at zero interest rate and MaPrimeRenovate' ; the eco-PTZ then makes it possible to finance the remainder of the costs of the work that gave you the right to MaPrimeRénov'. An order issued in Official Journal of 29 March 2025 harmonizes certain criteria applicable to obtaining the eco-PTZ with those conditioning the benefit of MaPrimeRénov’.

As of 1^er In July 2025, the work eligible for the eco-PTZ must be carried out in compliance with the same requirements as those financed by MaPrimeRénov’. This gives you the assurance that the work you are undertaking is eligible for both MaPrimeRénov’ and eco-PTZ (in order to benefit from MaPrimeRénov’, you must also meet certain conditions related to your income and housing).

The work whose implementation modalities are evolving includes work on:

• thermal insulation of exterior facing walls;
• thermal insulation of glass walls;
• the installation of heating equipment;
• installation of domestic hot water equipment using a renewable energy source.

The gain of at least 2 energy classes now required for global renovations

As part of a comprehensive renovationHowever, before applying for an eco-PTZ, you must have an energy audit carried out. As of 1^er July 2025, in order to benefit from the eco-PTZ “global renovation”, this audit will have to demonstrate that the proposed works allow the gain of at least 2 energy classes on energy performance diagnostics.

The maximum amount of the eco-PTZ is still set at €50,000, for a comprehensive renovation. You must repay this loan within a maximum of 20 years.
