Did you get a "Very Good" grade at the baccalaureate and you are entering higher education at the beginning of the school year? You may, under conditions, benefit from merit aid. This aid is a supplement to the scholarship on social criteria. We present you with the information you need to know.

You can take advantage of this if you complete the 3 conditions:

Please note

in the event of repetition, you will no longer be eligible for merit assistance. However, if the repetition is based on medical grounds, the assistance may be granted.

A student may not receive merit assistance for more than Three times.

You must have filed a Student Social Record (FSD).

If your EHR is accepted, you do not need to take any other steps.

The rectorate transmits directly to the Crous: titleContent the list of bachelors with a mention Very good.

The Crous will inform you if you can benefit from the merit aid.

The final decision on the award or maintenance of merit aid shall be taken by the Rector of the host academy. It will be for you notified.

To challenge the refusal decision, you can send a ex gratia appeal to the rector of the academy.

Who shall I contact

If you have not been satisfied, you can make a hierarchical appeal to the Minister of Higher Education. obligatory through the rector of the academy.

You can also appeal to the administrative tribunal attached to your academy.

Who shall I contact

You have to do these appeal within 2 months which follow the notification of refusal.

The annual amount of the aid shall be €900.

It is paid in 9 monthly installments of €100.

Merit aid may be combined with a international mobility aid and one ad hoc specific aid.

If you do not comply with the conditions of educational registration, attendance to the courses and presentation to the exams, the merit aid may be withdrawn.
