Vidéo - Registering a used vehicle

Would you like to buy or receive a used vehicle? Log in to ants.gouv.fr first. Before starting, the seller must have previously completed the process of declaration of assignment on the site of the ANTS and provided the assignment code to the future buyer. To initiate your process, you must log in through your France Connect account. This procedure is not possible via an account to ANTS from the my account space. Click on the New Applications button, then on the Registration button and finally buy or receive your vehicle.

The change owner page will then appear on your screen. Choose the person involved in this process (for you or someone else). The change of ownership involves fees. Bring a credit card, license plate number and transfer code to continue. The transfer code was provided to you by the former owner. If you do not have this code, it is possible to complete the procedure with the form number of the registration certificate and the date of issue of the registration certificate.

Complete the requested information, and then click the next steps. A page opens with the information of the future owner of the vehicle. Fill in the information about the vehicle and the future owner. Then click Next Steps. You will then get a summary of the claim, as well as the amounts of tax to be paid. If everything is compliant, validate the legal conditions, the tax payment page, its sheet. Fill in the bank details and validate. You will then arrive on a page with the summary of the application and the provisional certificate of registration. You must print this Interim Certificate to use the vehicle while waiting to receive your final title by mail. This certificate is valid for one month. To follow the progress of your request, log in to your France Connect account: you will be able to view your current approach. From another dashboard, it is also possible to follow 9the routing of the title by clicking on Know where my certificate of registration is.

You can simultaneously carry out with the seller, each on your smartphone, the declaration of assignment, using the application Simplimat.gouv.

The procedure is completely secure and dematerialized (it is not necessary to fill in a paper cerfa).

You can also apply for your new Certificate of Registration through this same application.

Warning

The application only supports vehicles registered in the new format (AA-123-AA) and vehicles of type VP, TM, QM, QLEM, CL, CYCL, CTTE, MTL, MTT1 or MTT2.

These include passenger cars, tricycles and quadricycles, 2- or 3-wheel mopeds and motorcycles.

One video explains how this application works:

Do you sell or buy a used vehicle?

Welcome to the Simplimat app.

Create your Simplimat account on your smartphone by clicking on the “discover” button, then enter your phone number: A text message with a confirmation code appears to validate your number.

Sign in now with the France Connect service by entering the identifier and password of the digital identity you use on one of your digital accounts such as for example impots.gouv.fr or your AMELI health insurance account.

Then save the personal code that will be used to protect your access to the application.

On the day of the sale, the first step is for the seller of the vehicle, to click on “sell or give away my vehicle”. The seller enters the data relating to the seller.

The next step is for the seller to forward their vehicle file to the buyer. It checks the information in the file and enters the buyer's phone number in order to transmit it to him.

A text message is sent to the buyer inviting him to validate the purchase of the vehicle in the application.

For this, the buyer, with Simplimat, simply scans the QR code that appears on the seller's phone.

It remains to validate the sales record with the buyer.

The folder is displayed and everyone checks all the information before signing the assignment declaration on their screen.

The official transfer declaration document is obtained with one click and is registered in the application.

If you have an iPhone, it will appear on the screen automatically.

If you have an Android phone, you will find it in the “download” folder of your device.

Carte grise Once the assignment is signed and registered by the Simplimat application, the buyer can request its new assignment. Carte grise It selects the “ask for my information” button.

Carte grise All that remains for the purchaser is to pay the registration taxes to finalize his request for the publication of an assembly in his name.

Once the payment has been made, the printing request is transmitted. Carte grise An Interim Certificate of Registration is available for download pending receipt of the final certificate within 3 or 4 days.

The seller and the buyer can each find the transfer certificate in the application under the heading “consult the list of my vehicles”.

The purchaser will also be able to find his provisional circulation document. The latter is valid for one month.

Simplify your life with Simplimat.

You must perform the following actions.
