AAH joint, professional activity and pension rights

Article 254 of the Finance Law for 2024 allows beneficiaries of the Disabled Adult Allowance (DAA) to continue to receive this allowance if they decide to continue their professional activity after their age of entitlement to retreat.
This measure comes into force on a date fixed by order of the Governor in Council, and no later than 1er december 2024.
In addition, section 255 of the same act provides for holding of cumulation of the supplement for independent living and the additional resources for people losing the benefit of AAH because of the increase in the amount of their pensions as a result of the pension reform.
This measure provides for the issuance of an order in council.

You must complete all conditions following:
- Perceive the AAH accident at work at a full rate or in addition to a pension, invalidity pension or annuity or take in Asia under the same conditions
- Have a permanent disability rate of at least 80%
- Living in independent housing, i.e. personal housing. If you are hosted by an individual in his or her home, the accommodation is considered independent only if it is the accommodation of the person with whom you are staying live as a couple.

The process to apply for the MVA differs depending on whether you have the AAH or Asia.
You get the AAH
You have no no steps to take.
The MVA completes the AAH.
You receive the MVA at the same time as the AAH if you meet the conditions for the MVA.
You perceive Asia
You must request the MVA from the MDPH: titleContent .
The request can be made online through an online service, if the MDPH: titleContent of your place of residence offers it:
Application for MDPH benefits (AAH, PCH ...) and renewal
You can also apply by post through a form:
Application or renewal of disability benefits (AAH, PCH, CMI, accommodation ...)
You must contact supporting documents mentioned in connection with your online application or on the form.
Documents must be sent (or scanned if you apply online) to the MDPH: titleContent of your place of residence.
It's the CDAPH: titleContent who decides on your application for MVA.
Its response usually occurs in a four-month period from the date of submission of your application.
If no reply is received after 4 months, the request shall be considered as rejected.
The amount of the MVA is €104.77 per month.
The MVA no longer paid after 60 days hospitalization.
The payment of the VAT automatically resumes from 1er the day of the month following the month in which you are no longer hospitalized.
The MVA no longer paid after 60 days of accommodation in a medical-social institution (e.g. specialized guest house).
The payment of the VAT automatically resumes from 1er the day of the month following the month in which you are no longer hosted.
The MVA no longer paid after 60 days of incarceration.
The payment of the VAT automatically resumes from 1er the day of the month following the month in which you are no longer incarcerated.
