You're French

The duration of your stay is less than or equal to 3 months

You must have a passport valid for at least 3 months after your arrival in Tunisia.

For example: if you enter Tunisia on January 2, 2025, your passport must be valid until at least April 3, 2025.

A visa (whatever it may be) is not required even if you are going on business.

For an organized trip, it is also necessary to have a valid passport covering at least 3 months after your arrival in Tunisia, accompanied by the travel booklet issued by the agency.

The duration of your stay is more than 3 months

You must have a endorsement and one residence permit.

French Minor

Minor travels with his 2 parents

A minor and his or her parents must each have a passport valid covering at least 3 months after their arrival in Tunisia.

It is advisable to take a document proving your parentage  (relationship with parents): your birth certificate (extract of the birth certificate or full copy) or the family record book.

A minor and his parents (father or mother) must each have a valid passport covering at least 3 months after entering tunisian territory.

In addition, it is advisable to have other documents if the minor is in one of the following situations:

Divorced parents

It is strongly recommended that the parent (father or mother) accompanying the minor have a copy of the divorce judgment granting custody of the child.

The miner travels with his mother

It is recommended to have a certificate from the father authorizing the trip.

Minor orphan of father

The mother must have a document certifying her marriage to the deceased father (updated family record book), a copy of the father's death certificate, or an authorization from the judge responsible for the protection of minors.

It is strongly recommended that the mother also have an exit permit from Tunisian territory, issued by the father, before the consular authority in France. If the father lives in Tunisia, the application can be made on the spot with a municipality.

The minor travels alone or with another person

If the minor is traveling with another person or a member of his family (brother, sister, grandparent), he must present the following documents:

  • Tunisian passport valid on entering and leaving Tunisia
  • Passport valid for at least 3 months after your arrival in Tunisia, during the police formalities on leaving France and on returning to France.

It is strongly recommended that the person accompanying the minor also have an exit permit from Tunisian national territory, established by the father, before the consular authority in France. If the father lives in Tunisia, the application can be made on the spot with a municipality.
