War Pensioner Disability Card

If you receive a military disability pension or a civilian war casualty pension, you can apply for a war pensioner disability card. Your disability rate determines the type of card you are assigned. We present you with the information you need to know.

To obtain a disability card, you must:

  • Receive a military disability pension and have a disability rate of at least 25%
  • Receive a civilian war victim pension and have a disability rate of at least 25%

There are different types of war pensioner disability cards, depending on your disability rate.

25% to 45% disabled

The single blue bar disability card allows you to get a 50% discount on train tickets from the SNCF: titleContent, which you buy for yourself from the SNCF: titleContent.

Other public transport can offer you this discount rate.

The invalidity card may include the words arduous standing.

This is granted if you have a so-called disability clear case (example: amputation). Otherwise, it can be granted to you after an opinion of a medical committee.

The mention arduous standing gives you a right of priority in the following places:

  • Public service counters and offices
  • Shops and concert halls
  • Public transport (reserved places)

The disability card does not in itself give access to parking facilities, unlike the Mobility Inclusion Card (CMI).

Whatever your situation, you must provide the following documents:

  • Cerfa Form No. 14342 to be printed and completed
  • Identity photo to be stuck on the form at the intended location
  • Proof of pension. It may be a descriptive sheet of disabilities, a preliminary concession decision interlayer, a provisional statement of pension rights proposing the recognition of a right to compensation (for recent pensions or aggravations) or, if necessary, a model 15 certificate less than 3 months old.
