Looking for information about a property without going through a notary? Wondering where to turn? What information should be obtained? Access to real estate information varies according to the year of registration of the documents in the land advertising service. We'll tell you how to do that.
Any person may request information about a property.
The official real estate information service has 10 days to answer you.
The real estate information service is the land advertising department.
It informs you about the legal situation of a building. You can obtain the following information, for example:
- Identity of successive owners
- Prices of the various sales
- Copy of Real Estate Sales Documents
- Donation
The request for documents or information changes depending on the registration period before or after 1er january 1956 in the mortgage records.
Legal situation of buildings and property after 1956
You can request information from the property advertising department:
- On one or more buildings
- On one or more buildings on which one or more persons designated in the application have right in rem in immovable property
The information delivered takes the form of a copy of one or more handwritten cards or a computer response from the date of computerization.
You can use the cerfa form to request the information concerning the legal status of buildings and property assets of persons after 1956.
You must address your request to the property advertising department of the location of the property.
