School transport allows your child to travel between home and school. Organization of transport, steps to obtain a map, cost: the rules differ according to your place of residence. We give you the information you need to know to benefit from school transport.
General case
School transport allows students to travel from home to school.
They can be transport open to all travelers (metro, bus, tram) or dedicated to the transport of students (school bus).
The regions are responsible for the organization and operation of school transport.
However, if you live in a built-up area or metropolis and you are educating your child in the same metropolis or metropolis, transportation management is different.

Residence and schooling in the same metropolitan area
You can consult the conditions for obtaining transport passes on the website of the transport network of your agglomeration or metropolis.
It is sometimes possible to make your card request online.
You can also contact your child's school to find out how to obtain the card. You can do it, in general, starting in May for the start of September.
The secretariat can give you a form to fill out.
This form allows you to obtain the subscription card from transport companies (SNCF, bus service...).
The cost of transporting your child is your responsibility.
It varies according to the region, the municipality of residence and the distance between your child's home and school.
Please note
certain departments or municipalities can, under certain conditions, help you finance your child's school transport. If your child is a scholarship holder, you may be affected.
Payment can be made in advance, at the time of the withdrawal of the transport card.
You can also pay in split installments when posting quarterly or half-yearly coupons.
The card is valid for the entire school year.
You must first make a flight declaration at the police station or gendarmerie.
Then contact the transport company, presenting the receipt for loss or theft, to obtain a new card.
In Île-de-France

School Imagine R
The menu School Imagine R is addressed to young people who fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Be under 26 years of age (at 1er September of the school year of enrollment)
- Be enrolled in a school, college, high school or work-linked training organization
- Reside in Île-de-France.
It allows the use of regular transport lines (accessible to all travelers).
The package is usable unlimited, including weekends and school holidays.
Imagine R junior
The menu Imagine R junior is addressed to young people who fulfill all of the following conditions:
- Be under 11 years of age (as of 31 December of the calendar year of enrollment)
- Reside in Île-de-France.
It allows the use of regular transport lines (accessible to all travelers).
The package is usable unlimited, including weekends and school holidays.
Bus school card regular lines
The card is for the young person filling in all of the following conditions :
- Be under 21 years of age (at 1er September of the school year of enrollment)
- Reside in Île-de-France
- Being an outsider or half-boarder
- Be enrolled in a school, college, high school or work-linked training organization
- Be resident 3 kilometers or more from their school.
The card allows you to use regular transport lines (accessible to all travelers) on class days, only for one round trip per day on the journey from home to the establishment.
Scol'R Card
The card is for the young person filling in all of the following conditions :
- Be under 21 years of age (at 1er September of the school year of enrollment)
- Reside in the Grand Crown Île-de-France (departments 77, 78, 91, 95)
- Being an outsider or half-boarder
- Be enrolled in a school, college, high school or work-linked training organization
- Be resident 3 kilometers or more from their school.
The card allows you to use special transport lines for school, school days, only for one round trip per day on the journey from home to the establishment.
If your child has under 11 years or is primary school student, it benefits from the scol'R card junior.

Imagine R (school or junior)
Online
The request is made directly online by connecting to your personal space. Prepare a photo ID and your credit card or RIB.

By mail
If you do not have access to the internet, you can make a request by mail.
Ask for a subscription form in a sales agency, at some RATP counters or at Guichet Services Navigo SNCF.

Complete the file and return it to the address indicated on the form, accompanied by the required supporting documents.

Subscription folders are to withdraw OPTILE companies at ticket offices or to be downloaded from the OPTILE website.

You must file a theft report at the police station or gendarmerie brigade.
