Passport of a minor: in case of loss
Verified 23 November 2022 - Directorate for Legal and Administrative Information (Prime Minister)
In France
If the passport has been lost, you must file a declaration of loss. If a new passport is requested immediately, the declaration of loss is made at the same time as the filing of the file in the city hall. The documents to be provided in support of the file depend on the type of passport that was lost.
The formalities for declaring a loss depend on whether you want to apply for a new passport immediately
