Free Mouth Examinations and Dental Care for Youth (M'T Teeth)

What is it? M'T dents ? These are oral prevention tests to promote regular follow-up among young people, to improve their oral hygiene and their eating habits. People aged 3 to 24 benefit every year a preventive examination and necessary care. These examinations are open to all minors and young adults attached to the Health Insurance, regardless of their nationality. We'll lay out the rules for you.

The funds of certain health insurance schemes may offer identical examinations to other groups (senior citizens, etc.). In addition, an oral prevention program has been set up for women during pregnancy.
Anyone aged 3 to 24 shall benefit from this examination each year.
The process differs depending on whether the person is a minor or an adult:

Minor (3 to 17 years)
Parents are given every year, a M'T dents form.
The M'T dent form is valid one year from the child's birthday.

This examination is done by a dental surgeon chosen by the parents.
Young adult (18 to 24 years)
The young adult receives an annual M'T dents form.
The M'T dent form is valid one year from the birthday of the young adult.
This invitation to carry out the oral examination is accompanied by the care form.
The presentation of this printed material allows to benefit from this examination without advance fees.
This examination is carried out by a dental surgeon chosen by the young adult.

This examination is carried out by a dental surgeon chosen by the young adult.
This examination must include:
- Research into risk factors (thumb sucking, consumption of sweet and/or acidic foods, nibbling, lack of brushing, smoking, other addictions, etc.)
- A dental examination (teeth and periodontium)
- Health education tips: brushing (method, frequency, fluorine), food, sports protection, vaccination Human papillomavirus infections (HPV)
- The establishment of a possible treatment plan or care plan.
If necessary, the examination may be supplemented by:
- X-rays
- And complementary care.
Please note
The orthodontic treatments are excluded from this scheme.
The cost is covered by:
- Health insurance up to 60%
- Your complementary up to 40%.
There is no advance fee:
- For this exam
- And for dental care performed within 6 months after this examination except inlay onlay, prosthetic and orthopedic dento-facial care.
Warning
Orthodontic treatments to correct malposition of teeth and prostheses are not available as part of M'T Teeth.
If the dentist offers these treatments, he must inform about the rates and refunds.
