YesHowever, any pregnant woman can postpone Maximum 3 weeks prenatal (late pregnancy) leave on postnatal (postpartum) leave, if she has a favorable medical opinion.

For example, if your maternity leave starts during school holidays, you can request a postponement of up to 3 weeks of your prenatal leave to your postnatal leave on a prescription from your doctor.

You must send a written request to your management department.

The application must be accompanied by a medical certificate authorizing deferral.

The certificate shall specify the number of days to be carried over, either in a single period for a maximum of 3 weeks or for a period fixed by your doctor and renewable up to a maximum of 3 weeks.

The medical certificate must be issued by a gynecologist, general practitioner, or midwife.

Your application must be submitted no later than 1er the day of the pre-natal leave originally scheduled.

In the event of a work stoppage during the deferred period, the deferral shall be canceled immediately and the prenatal leave shall start at 1er day of work stoppage.
